GPRU is an established Site Management Organisation (SMO) based in Northern Ireland, UK.

GPRU first and foremost function is delivery of patients into phase II-IV clinical trials. Experience has been gained with GP sites from more than 12 years of cooperation between general practices.

GPRU was set up with two main aims:

1. To work collaboratively with existing, experienced, general practice research sites to facilitate clinical trial delivery

2. To provide "trial naive" general practice sites with the resource to develop and maximise their trial potential

We now have a research base of 40 GP practices in Northern Ireland with a potential trial population of over 300,000 patients.
